Checksheets are one of the seven basic quality tools. The seven basic quality tools are tools and techniques for the PMI processes of plan quality management and control quality. They are used to collect data that will help identify quality issues, such as defects. A Pareto diagram is often used to display the data. A histogram or bar chart may also be used to display the data.
Other names for checksheets are tally sheets or check sheets.
