Communication is critical to a well-run project. Most of the skills that go into good communications are useful for general management and many professional activities.
The PMBOK lists communication as an important interpersonal skill.
At the beginning of chapter 10, it also gives some dimensions of communication:
- internal - external
- formal - informal
- vertical - horizontal
- official - unofficial
- written, oral, and verbal - nonverbal
