One type of network diagram. The Critical Path on an AoA diagram

The schedule network analysis is the evaluation of the activities in the schedule. It begins with the network of activities with their required predecessor activities and estimated durations. This network is often displayed as a network diagram. The estimated duration may be a range. Then the analysis uses the network and estimated durations of each activity to determine the earliest dates at which each could be started or finished as well as the latest dates when they could be started or finished without delaying the schedule to the point where the project is likely to complete after its scheduled date.
